Hi Makis, Google translation is so clear today that I have double checked the name of this blog :) Normally from Greek into any language ... eh :) The Storyteller by Mario Vargas Llosa? Hm, I doubt, the pine tree is rather characteristic for the Greek landscape :) Any other interpretation :):):) I like the haiku as it is even with a question mark on the reason. Kalispera, Irena
the pine tree is characteristic of the greek landscape. at least in my native island Cefalonia. the storyteller is rather a wise man , a kind of magician or a shaman in my mind. Maybe the scene is a dream within a dream.
Hi Makis this is to clarify my previous comment :) Of course I remember pine trees from Greece and they are doubtless :) characteristic for Greek landscape. Just wanted to say I had doubted that your storyteller concerned the novel "The Storyteller" by Mario Vargas Llosa although it had come to my mind first. Thank you for your interpretation. It is very important to have a wise man who can give us answers even in our dream. Have a good day Irena
Came back for a second time. Pines are not seen in the area I live. There are shadows . these shadows tell a million stories . They arent dark all the time . although they have little choice of colors per se. The human mind with its imaginations puts in colors and even life in to those...The image is lingering as the shadow is alive
the human mind tries to find meaning in everything. in a way we live in a world where everything is alive. it's true that this image has an animistic perspective

Ο "παραμυθάς" μυθική η μορφή του και η δυστυχία του γιατί κανείς δεν τον πιστεύει...καλησπερα Μακη

I like this. I can picture the scene, and see that storyteller as a shaman very wise to the ways of the subconscious. Nice.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήthat was my idea PattiKen. i'm glad you pictured the scene that way. i want to thank you for your visit and your kind comment
